Nordisk Film TV World Signs Up New Recruits For Sex Academy

Top Scandinavian distributor, Nordisk Film TV World, has announced substantial sales success of its eye-opening factual series and format 'Sex Academy'.
Sales of the 20 x 60 min finished programme have been finalised in four new territories: France, Portugal, Italy and Romania.
This takes the current number of international pick-ups to 11 in total, making the show available to viewers in many of Europe's largest nations, airing on several of the continents' leading networks.
M6 in France, SIC in Portugal, Digicast in Italy and Antenna in Romania are all set to transmit the daring series in 2009. The show has been running in Sweden, Norway, Israel, Poland, Korea, Thailand and Hungary following its launch on primary broadcaster TV3, Denmark in 2006.
TV3 has aired two seasons of the show, each with extremely high audience ratings. The first series doubled the channel's average audience share for its time slot; the second tripled the average figure. The transmission of series one in Norway also drew an audience that doubled its expectations.
Speaking of the sales, Nordisk Film TV International Director, Karoline Spodsberg said: "'Sex Academy' is a brilliantly executed, unapologetic and courageous show, which in turn has developed a very strong following. We feel the series still has a long way to go before it reaches its full international potential and we are pleased to see how well it is travelling from territory to territory."
'Sex Academy' is a primetime factual series with high production values, which takes viewers on an enjoyable heart-warming voyage as eight happy ordinary couples go back to school, but this time only to learn about sex!
The head mistress gives lectures in various topics, such as the importance of foreplay, different sexual positions and role-playing. The "students" are then given homework, which they need to complete. Beware, in this show, anything can happen and the result can vary from smiles and laughter to tears!
