Miranda's Kaleido-X Multi-Viewer Selected For Italian Company Videe For OB Truck

Miranda Technologies have announced that Videe, an Italian provider of television and satellite systems for studio and outside broadcast productions, has selected a Kaleido-X multi-image display system for Unit 10, its new state-of-the-art, high definition OB truck.
Bruno Mercuri, Director of Operations at Videe, said: "We're aiming to be one of the premium providers of outside broadcast technology in Europe. We're upgrading our equipment to achieve this, starting with the introduction of our new Outside Broadcast Unit 10.
"We needed an advanced multi-image monitoring system for the truck, which is already handling HD video and multi-channel audio. Kaleido-X's effective multi-operator control and outstanding image quality made it the obvious choice."
The 12 camera truck is due to cover a wide mix of major sporting and musical events this year, including several Italian Series A football matches and concerts.
The truck's multi-image display system will present 96 video inputs across nine 46" plasma screens, including camera feeds, satellite feeds, external OB vehicle feeds, VTRs, AVS recordings and more.
Each Kaleido-X multi-image output can be controlled completely independently, using remote panels or on-screen mouse control from the truck's audio, production and vision control desks. The monitoring layouts can be quickly reconfigured for different productions, with full flexibility over window positioning and sizing. The XEdit multi-room layout editor simplifies the sharing of sources across multiple areas controlled by multiple operators.
Kaleido-X offers the highest level of signal flexibility without any source grouping restrictions. It's capable of displaying multi-format signals at different sizes and in any position, without losing any image quality.
The system also offers exceptional resiliency, with no single point of failure. It features an Auto-recovery capability that automatically configures new cards loaded into a frame from other installed cards.
