Aardman Adopts Escape Studios' Online Learning Tool

Escape Studios has announced that industry-acclaimed animation firm Aardman has selected Escape's comprehensive, yet easy-to-use Maya courseware and online learning system to augment its in-house computer graphics training programme.
An exciting addition to Escape Studios' growing portfolio of prominent industry adopters, Aardman's announcement comes only three weeks after game developer Rare announced its decision to implement Escape Studios' online learning system.
The online Maya programme was developed by Escape's world-class tutors and features extremely dynamic HD content and an unprecedented learning experience.
Mark Cass, Escape Studios' Commercial Director, said: "There is a growing need for studios to take a more proactive stance in acquiring the skills they need to remain competitive.
"Unfortunately, entry-level staff are rarely equipped with the hands-on technical experience necessary to 'hit the ground running' and bring value to employers. Our online courses are the easiest, most efficient way to gain practical real-world skills from industry experts. Aardman adopted the courseware because it provides the technical foundations to create superior 3D computer graphics and keep them top-of-mind."
Escape's online learning course comprises over 600 video tutorials that can be watched in 720 HD as well as an extensive Q&A tool that ensures learners have vast resources at their disposal, making the system easy as well as comprehensive.
The most in-depth online Maya training ever created, Escape Studios' courseware is designed to take the absolute beginner through to an advanced level, but is also designed to further the knowledge of seasoned professionals.
Alan Short, Head of Department at Aardman CGI, said: "Both Escape and Aardman are excited about this partnership and definitely see it as a step forward for the industry as a whole. The modular and customisable approach that Escape has taken allows us to more easily tailor our technical training to the various specific needs of individual artists. We are very much looking forward to using Escape's online courseware and anticipate it will form part of Aardman's wider ambitions for training and creative development in the future."
