HaiVision And Custom Media Services Deliver HD Telepresence Codec Technology In Texas
HaiVision Systems, a leading vendor of high-definition (HD) H.264 telepresence codecs, has announced a new partnership with Custom Media Services (CMS) through which CMS will serve as a HaiVision dealer for the Texas market.
CMS will represent the full line of HaiVision solutions, providing sales, support, and design and integration services for customers in the broadcast, corporate, government, education and house of worship markets, among others.
Mark Tarbet, CMS Regional Manager for Texas, said: "Telepresence is the foremost applications of A/V to remote locations via the internet and HaiVision enables delivery of content at extremely high quality with very low latency.
"HaiVision's telepresence technologies provide an excellent answer to our clients' increasing demand for cost-effective ways to leverage existing network infrastructures for two-way delivery of SD and HD content with minimal delay."
HaiVision solutions link distant rooms together as easily as if they were next to one another. The company's product line includes the hai1000 telepresence codec system, which delivers the highly efficient MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video compression standard at unsurpassed levels.
The company's MAKO-HD 'zero latency' codec is the highest-performing H.264 codec available for HD, supporting up to 1080p resolution and an imperceptible 70-millisecond end-to-end latency.
Mirko Wicha, HaiVision President and CEO, said: "CMS is a prominent and highly experienced provider of A/V solutions for large-venue meetings and the company's dedication to working with the latest and best technologies makes it an ideal match for our line of videonetworking products.
"We're pleased to be partnering with CMS and anticipate that the company's expertise, understanding of the market and commitment to excellence will be vital to the continued expansion of our business in the southeast United States.
