Concrete Post Produces Red Bee Media's Storyville Trailers For BBC

Concrete has just completed full post production for two 45 and two 40-second trailers for Red Bee Media to promote a new season of the Storyville documentary strand on BBC Four.
The compelling trailers, directed by JP McKeown and produced by Ann-Marie Small, are based on the concept that great stories are universal and were written by BBC Four Creative Head Ollie Harnett and JP McKeown.
Red Bee Media shot twelve talking heads that are all telling the same story but in seven different languages and in a variety of international accents with each performer telling the story in a unique but entertaining way.
The two stories featured are title 'Borat' and 'Brothers' and are based on real documentaries that will be featuring at the beginning of the new Storyville run, 'When Borat Came To Town' and 'Prodigal Sons' respectively.
Talented Editor Matt Hall at Concrete worked on the editing. He explained: "The challenge was to edit the footage by bringing the story together, which involved cutting between the different languages and to ensure the smooth flow of the story so that it all still made sense in sequence."
Senior Operator Marcus Millichope completed the grading on the piece using Smoke. Marcus commented: "The material was shot so well that I didn't have to do too much grading to it."
Ollie Harnett, RedBee Media, said: "The spots have been really well received all round from BBC's client MC&A (Marketing, Communications & Audiences) to the Storyville team and have been drawing attention from the wider advertising community."
The trailers are currently airing on BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Four until later this month.
