Tom Misner installs huge VTC Console

Tom Misner, founder of the globally successful SAE Technology Schools, has recently taken delivery of the first 56 channel TL Audio VTC Console for his new recording facility in Byron Bay, Australia – the latest addition to Misner’s expanding 301 Studios Group, which already have commercial studios in Sydney, Cologne and Stockholm.
Located one hour north of Sydney, Byron Bay is the most easterly point in Australia, and the two-studio complex is located against an idyllic backdrop of beaches, forests, waterfalls and rolling hills. Studio Two has been christened ‘The Valve Room’, and it is here that the P & G equipped 56 channel VTC has been installed, making it the largest version of the console to be shipped to date.
Speaking on behalf of TL Audio, Managing Director Tony Larking commented: “Tom’s SAE Schools have been enthusiastic users of TL Audio products for a few years now, so we were delighted when Tom invested in a VTC. It seems that large format VTCs are becoming in-demand items right now, with EMI Publishing having just installed a 48 channel console in London (their second VTC), and with other 48 & 56 channel boards currently in production destined for customers in Austria, Spain and the UK.”
