Fusion expand with SBE-UK and ATG Broadcast

ATG Broadcast, in co-operation with prime-contractor SBE-UK, have completed a £250,000 development of the London-based independent facilities company Fusion Post Productions.
The new installation is located at Fusion's new premises in D'Arbly Street, Soho, and forms the core of the company's expansion from their former Marshall Street location.
The contract includes the supply and commissioning of two Avid Symphony nonlinear video editing workstations, four Avid Media Composer offline editors, Avid Pro-Tools and Digidesign audio processors. The Symphony workstations are supported by Sony J-3/SDI Digi/SP/SX Beta player and 20 inch Grade 1 monitor, Courtyard Sheriff legaliser, Eyeheight safe area generator, Yamaha 01V digital audio mixer and Genelec monitor loudspeakers. Two additional Sony J-3/SDI players plus a Mackie audio mixer are installed with the offline editors.
Online edit facilities centre on a Sony BE-9100 edit controller and DVS-700 digital video switcher, with DVE 3000 and DVE 7000 mix/effects channels plus Sony 20 inch Grade 1 monitor and DMX-E3000 digital audio mixer. Videotape facilities include a DVW-A500 DigiBeta edit deck with SP playback and three MSW-M2100P Digi/SP/SX Beta studio players with SDI output.
Supporting equipment includes an Aston Blue character generator, an Edifis digital disk recorder and a Pro-Bel router controller.

The expanded facilities carry us much further into disk-based editing with its inherent advantages in terms of speed and versatility."
