Photography Begins On Drama 'The Other Man'

Award-winning director Richard Eyre’s The Other Man, a tense drama featuring Oscar nominee Liam Neeson (Kinsey, Schindler’s List), Golden Globe nominee Antonio Banderas (The Mask of Zorro; Once Upon a Time in Mexico), Oscar nominee Laura Linney (The Savages, The Squid & the Whale) and Romola Garai (Atonement, Amazing Grace) begins principal photography on 14 February.
Richard Eyre produces together with Emmy Award-winners Tracey Scoffield and Frank Doelger (The Gathering Storm) and Michael Dreyer (Stardust) for UK production company, Rainmark Films. David Richenthal and Mary Beth O’Connor produce for New York-based Gotham Films.
The Other Man will shoot on location in and around London, Milan and Lake Como, and at Ealing Studios. International sales are handled by Ealing Studios International.
Peter (Neeson) is missing his wife Lisa (Linney) when he discovers that she has been receiving emails and mobile messages from a man he never knew existed. Against the advice of his estranged daughter, Bryony (Garai), a hurt and vengeful Peter flies to Milan to seek out the mysterious Rafe (Banderas) and the truth about the other man in his wife’s life.
Written by Richard Eyre and his Iris co-writer Charles Wood and adapted from a story by Bernhard Schlink (The Reader) The Other Man’s behind-the-scenes team includes cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos (Mamma Mia!, Venus), production designer Gemma Jackson (Finding Neverland, Iris), and Oscar nominees editor Tariq Anwar (Revolutionary Road. American Beauty) and costume designer Consolata Boyle (The Queen).
Richard Eyre is renowned as a director of both theatre and film. During his tenure as Artistic Director of the Royal National Theatre from 1988 to 1997 he directed many award-winning productions. Recent stage work includes Hedda Gabler and Mary Poppins in London and The Crucible featuring The Other Man’s Liam Neeson and Laura Linney on Broadway. Eyre’s feature films include Academy Award nominee Notes on a Scandal starring Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett, Stage Beauty, starring Claire Danes and Billy Crudup and Iris starring Judi Dench and that year’s Oscar winner for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Jim Broadbent.
