Autoscript To Launch Lightweight ELP DV Prompter

IBC 2007 marked the premiere for Autoscript's integrated 8” prompter for the DV market.
Working with group partners Sachtler, Autoscript have developed a lightweight prompter solution that not only integrates seamlessly with the Sachtler DV heads, but can also be powered by the Sachtler lightweight 7.2v battery. So that one battery can power both camera and prompter, giving up to three hours operational time.
There is no longer a need for time-consuming and fiddly removal of camera plates - the 8" unit fits directly under the camera on the fluid head. The prompter plate is shaped like the camera mounting plate, which allows immediate addition or removal of the prompter, greatly increasing speed and eliminating the need for tools.
Brian Larter, Managing Director, Autoscript UK added: "The Shoot & Scoot application for prompting is addressed in all areas with this system. Power, weight and speed are the biggest issues when using prompters in this field. We have not only worked with our group company Sachtler in developing this system, but we have listened to and addressed the concerns of the users.
"The 8" ELP DV Prompter is not simply a re-hashed LCD screen bought from some local electronics store.
"It is specifically designed for purpose in the broadcast market.
