Times BFI London Film Festival Filmmaker Search
The Times BFI London Film Festival, supported by Skillset and Film London, is looking for 25 talented and experienced filmmakers seeking to develop their feature film career, to take part in Think-Shoot-Distribute, the festival's elite, five-day talent development programme.
It brings together 25 emerging filmmakers with international leading film professionals in a series of workshops and masterclasses that explore the creative, business and technical aspects of the international feature film industry and the developments of new technology - from development to exhibition.
Sessions include film financing, development, legal and IP, scriptwriting, pitching, cinematography, sales agents, storyboarding, production design, line producing, editing, distribution and exhibition.
Previous speakers have included Stephen Frears, Keith Griffiths, Tony Grisoni, Mia Bays and Julie Baines, plus speakers from Lionsgate, UK Film Council, BBC Films, The Works, Optimum, Arts Alliance Media and PFD.
On the final day of the course, participants will attend Power to the Pixel: a one-day Digital Distribution Forum that connects the UK film industry with key innovators of the digital revolution from around the world.
Think-Shoot-Distribute takes place at The Hospital, the state-of-the-art members' club in London. Participants also receive Associate Delegate status to The Times BFI London Film Festival and membership of The Hospital for the duration of the programme.
The deadline is 21 September, 2007.
