Ross Vision Switchers Selected For HD Production Studio

Ross Video has revealed that VTM Belgium has chosen the newly launched Vision Production Switchers for their HD facility. VTM will be the first Mainland Europe broadcaster to invest in Vision.
VTM is the leading commercial channel in Belgium. The two Vision 4 MD-X switchers will be used for live productions including Dancing with the Stars, Dancing on Ice and Idols. Installation is expected to be completed by the end of 2007.
“We have a great relationship with Ross Video and have confidence in their products,” said Jozef Mertens, Director of Engineering, VTM. “The decision to upgrade to Ross Vision was for the switchers' advanced technology and expanded feature set.”
The Vision Series is Ross' next generation multi-definition production switcher, handling standard and high-definition formats. The five new models, ranging from 1 to 4 M/Es, include the Vision 1 MD, Vision 2 MD, Vision 2 MD-X, Vision 3 MD-X and Vision 4 MD-X.
