Evolutions Completes Post On 'Top Gear: Polar Special'
Evolutions, voted Best Post Production House by Broadcast in 2007, has completed the full post on 'Top Gear: Polar Special' for BBC Vision.
This 60 minute special is Top Gear’s most ambitious and arduous project to date and was shot entirely on HD (HD CAM SR).
The Top Gear production team, headed up by Andy Wilman, utilised Evolution’s full range of HD technologies and experience including offline, online, grade and audio.
Airing on Wednesday 25 July at 8pm on BBC2 and simulcast on the BBC HD channel, the three intrepid presenters attempt to drive from the town of Resolute in Northern Canada to the Magnetic North Pole, 400 miles away.
Sprout, Evolutions design arm, also worked on the titles for the programme, including a series of maps and Evolutions Stewart Harper produced all audio on the ProTools system.
