Télé-Québec Opts For DNF Controls' ST-304-EDIT-T Slow Motion Controller
DNF Controls has announced the sale of its ST-304-EDIT-T Slow Motion Controller to Télé-Québec, a government-owned public television station in Quebec dedicated to high-quality educational and cultural programming.
The ST-304-EDIT-T is being used for two-machine cuts editing, four-VTR assemble editing, and slow motion control in a studio system consisting of four VTRs.
"DNF has provided us with incredible service from the beginning, working closely with us to provide a precise and reliable solution ideally suited to our needs," said Michel Leclerc, instructor, Recording and Broadcast at Télé-Québec. "With the ST-304-EDIT-T Slow Motion Controller we have the capability to control four VTRs, one master and three ISO, supporting simultaneous assemble editing. This allows for fast, easy editing and playback of our content for important or last-minute slow motion replays."
A high-quality slow motion controller and two-machine cuts editor, the ST-304-EDIT-T is ideal for demanding broadcast productions. It provides reliable and precise control over a variety of VTRs and DDRs, supporting two-machine insert and assemble editing, auto-editing, and slow motion control. The slow motion controller has the added ability to save 100 cue points per playback channel, and retain those cues even when the power is turned off. The T-bar allows for fast and easy slow motion control and slow motion instant replay, with a speed range of up to 200 per cent.
Based on DNF's ST300 Slow Motion Controller, the ST-304-EDIT-T features a 4-line, back-lit display and a powerful setup menu for personalized control options.
"DNF's ST-304-EDIT-T has greatly improved studio workflow at Télé-Québec," said Leclerc. "In simplifying the edit and playback process, it provides greater usability, making it easier for us to produce our most demanding live and fast-action programming. We are in the process of reconfiguring several of our studios and look forward to equipping each of them with DNF controllers."
