Eyeheight EnigmaHD Provides Solution To Transporting Programme Production Data

Eyeheight's new enigmaHD is a robust, versatile and easy-to-use solution to the problem of carrying programme production data and machine control information invisibly through an HD-SDI channel.
Data is carried with complete integrity at up to 32 kbit/s on user-selectable lines of the HD signal stream. Applications of enigmaHD include forwarding camera position/velocity/pan/tilt/lens data to computer graphics interface devices further along the production chain, embedding invisible caption data and securely forwarding recorded-media details such as aspect ratio, date, time and clock number.
HD-SDI signal streams are routinely subjected to extremely high compression ratios which play havoc with traditionally embedded metadata. Data can be encode within enigmaHDi on up to 10 user-selectable picture lines, typically at the top or bottom of the image. These can be blanked to ensure that they are stay out of view even on a full-resolution full-scan flat-panel display.
Up to six enigmaHD units can be accommodated in a single 1U Eyeheight evolutionDT chassis will full local or remote control. SDI inputs and outputs plus RS-232 encode/decode are located on the rear panel.
