Mason Media Group And OCTT Choose Miranda Kaleido-X For HD Upgrade

Production company Mason Media Group has ordered four Miranda Kaleido-X multi-image processors/routers for the DC Office of Cable Television and Telecommunications (OCTT).
East coast based MMG's private/public collaboration with OCTT involves a facility-wide upgrade to high definition at the all digital broadcast center.
The recently launched Kaleido-X processors will equip OCTT's entire facility with multi-image display monitoring, with 224 video inputs and 32 display outputs. MMG, which assists broadcasters with getting new channels and programming from concept to air, can now offer a turnkey solution in HD from production to editorial, right through to transmission.
MMG is also offering a unique web-based monitoring solution to its customers for when they are away from the studio environment, giving them the ability to access the multi-image display outputs via the company's website. This remote monitoring is delivered using Miranda's Allegro, which combines encoder and server functions to allow streaming of audio, video and data over standard IP networks.
As a multi-image processor, Kaleido-X offers a high level of signal flexibility. Each chassis can display 96 HD, SD or Analogue inputs any number of times, in any size, across eight displays of any resolution and orientation, without blocking or grouping restrictions. All the multi-image outputs can be grouped to create large, highly integrated monitoring systems. Alternatively, each output can be controlled completely independently for multi-room environments, using one or more remote control panels. The processor offers the highest quality multi-image output without compression, with superior on-screen graphics, for the most critical live monitoring applications.
