Miranda Technologies scores hat-trick at IBC

Miranda Technologies has announced that it received three industry awards at the IBC 2006.
Awards were given for its new Kaleido-X multi-image processor and router, the Xstation 'channel-in-a-box', and the iControl facility monitoring and control system.
Miranda's new Kaleido-X multi-room, multi-image display processor and router received a prestigious STAR (Superior Technology Award Recipients) Award from TV Technology magazine. Kaleido-X represents the most integrated monitoring and routing solution on the market, and features 96 video inputs, 8 multi-image outputs, and 48 router outputs in a single, expandable chassis.
A Broadcast Engineering Pick Hit was awarded for Miranda's new Xstation 'channel in a box', an HD/SD playout server with integral television graphics and playlist control. Xstation provides all the tools for creating, scheduling and airing low cost, fast-to-air television.
Miranda's iControl was also honored by Cable & Satellite International magazine with the award for 'Best Monitoring or Network Management Solution' at a ceremony hosted at the show. iControl is an advanced, end-to-end facility monitoring and control system for broadcasters and television service providers (cable, satellite, and IPTV).
Spiro Plagakis, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing at Miranda commented: "Miranda invests a lot of energy in developing market-leading television products, and gaining these three technology awards across the breadth of our product line was a great end to our busiest ever IBC."
Miranda Technologies develops, manufactures, and markets high-performance hardware and software for the television broadcast industry. Its solutions are purchased by content creators, broadcasters, specialty channels, and television service providers to enable and enhance the transition to a complex multichannel digital and HDTV broadcast environment.
