Gefen extenders first to achieve NVIDIA Certification for optimal signal quality

When NVIDIA needed to power their remote workstations at SIGGRAPH 2006 using computers located nearly 200 feet away, the company turned to Gefen.
The connectivity solutions provider supplied NVIDIA with its DVI DL Booster, USB Extender and approximately 150 feet of dual link DVI cabling, providing the method by which NVIDIA populated its remote workstations in booth 1017 during SIGGRAPH.
“We used the Gefen units to extend signals to the booth towers from our visualization data center,” said Jeff Brown, general manager, professional solutions, NVIDIA. “We previously ran all the Gefen units through our compatibility lab to ensure signal quality over the long runs, and have been consistently impressed with the quality.”
The Gefen DVI DL Booster is a self-powered unit that delivers the highest dual link DVI video resolutions over long runs of dual link DVI cable; it can send HD resolutions up to 3840x2400 with a perfect replication of visuals up to 200 feet. Paired with the Gefen dual link DVI cable, the DVI DL Booster ensured NVIDIA visitors witnessed the most vibrant, high definition visuals on their remote tower workstations.
The Gefen USB Extender allows keyboard, mouse and gaming controls to function optimally at distances up to 200 feet. The sender/receiver system uses one CAT-5 cable to link the computer to the remote USB peripherals.
