Fraser Jones heads Merging Technologies’ new US operations

Swiss based Merging Technologies has appointed Fraser Jones to head their expanded and restructured operation in the USA.
Merging’s original Chicago office gives way to two new sales and support offices in LA and Portland ME to support the rapidly growing customer base for Merging’s Pyramix and VCube digital audio and video workstations. A new Dealer structure has also been implemented that will greatly increase Merging’s representation throughout America.
“Thanks largely to the great work from our principle Dealers, AID in LA and Steve Strassberg Associates in New York, Merging are now seeing the same rapid growth in the US market that we have enjoyed over the last three years in Europe and Asia Pacific,” explained Claude Cellier, President of Merging.
“Merging is a company in major growth and to continue this growth in the US market we must have the right sales and customer support structure in place. This was only possible once we found the right person to head the US operation and for us Fraser is the ideal candidate. He has the same level of enthusiasm for the success of Pyramix and VCube as we all do in Merging and his commercial skills, industry knowledge and experience gives us someone we and our US customers can rely on to do a great job,” said Cellier.
His role is all encompassing being responsible for both offices on the East and West Coast and our Dealer network throughout USA”.
Jones will continue with his Independent Audio distribution company expanding his personnel to support this new role with Merging Technologies. Kaspar Hugentobler, Merging’s man in LA, will continue to run the LA office under the direction of the Portland headquarters.
