Legal issues for independent filmmakers seminar to be held at BBC Manchester
The Commonwealth Film Association, the BBC and Addleshaw Goddard will be hosting the second part of a seminar on legal matters in filmmaking at the BBC in Manchester, aimed at independent filmmakers.
The second seminar in this series of free industry events will be on March 29 2006 and will focus on issues at the postproduction stage.
Addleshaw Goddard will be in conversation with special guests filmmakers Nigel Jay and Nighat Awan, who recently completed work on their film, ‘Another Pakistan’. Their experiences of issues and rights from working on this project will provide practical examples on a variety of related topics, such as legal conditions to ensure release and distribution of a film or television project.
The event is free, but booking is essential to ensure a place. To book, email [email protected] or contact Maria Ruban on 0161 232 4941.
