Guy Gampell boosts APT’s efforts in the Far East

Codec manufacturer APT has appointed Guy Gampell to the position of Asian sales manager with immediate effect.
Gampell joins the company from AMS Neve where he was involved in sales. He has also previously worked for a number of other leading pro audio brands including SADiE and Akai.
Jon McClintock, APT’s Commercial Director, said: “The Far East is an important market for APT and we needed someone of Guy’s calibre to help us fully exploit its potential. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position and we are delighted to have him as part of our team.”
Gampell added: “I have followed the progress of APT since I first heard the stunning apt-X algorithm at Queens University. Its low latency and acoustic integrity is awesome, especially when compared to the many variants of MPEG compression schemes. Last year’s MBO has seen the company go from strength to strength, attracting considerable new business especially from the Far East. I am very excited to be taking on this role and will be working closely with existing distributors whilst seeking new ones in virgin territories for the company.”
