VTV INTEGRATE GVG EDITING SOLUTIONS

LONDON-based sports production company, VTV, have integrated a combination of Grass Valley Group’s (GVG) production tools for use during coverage of the ongoing Paralympics in Sydney.
For the BBC commission, VTV will use GVG's Vibrint NewsEdit(TM), FeedClip(TM) systems and Profile PDR300 video file server to produce an hour-long daily highlights programme, which will be broadcast on BBC2.
Freelance Operator, Peter Wiggins, said: “I am delighted to be using such an efficient solution to cover the Paralympics. It will enable us to produce programmes extremely quickly. FeedClip allows you to take a live incoming feed, mark up edits, record and then transfer elsewhere via Fibre Channel, for example, over a standard network to NewsEdit.”
The Paralympics will mark one of the first times Grass Valley Group’s PAL version of Vibrint product line has been used for a sports event.
