Film London helps bring Christmas to the Capital

Two London locations, West End theatre the London Palladium and Redbridge Town Hall, feature in Marks and Spencer’s new Christmas advertising campaign which focuses on performers getting ready for a show.
Following an enquiry from the advert’s location manager, Film London’s locations service suggested the London Palladium, part of Really Useful Theatres Ltd., where the commercial filmed backstage and front-of-house.
The advert closes with a shot of Redbridge town hall in Ilford, East London, decorated in Christmas lights and doubling as the exterior of a theatre.
London film commissioner, Sue Hayes said: “It’s great to see such high-profile commercials choosing to film in London. This advert made London look stunning. Our locations team can help all types of productions wishing to film in the capital and can provide assistance with sourcing locations and advice on clearances where necessary.”
The London Borough of Redbridge is part of the London Filming Partnership, an initiative set up earlier this year to make filming in the capital easier.
