VIZ[R]T SECURES MAJOR DEALS IN Q4

BROADCAST graphics and virtual studio systems manufacturer viz[r]t have announced increased sales in the fourth quarter of this year.
Approximately $3 million in new business has been booked and installed during the fourth quarter of 2000. This includes recent major sales to ITN, QVC Japan, Alter 5 Greece, RTL KLUB Hungary, Q-Bus Germany, IFE Mexico, and to CBS and Univision for use in the coverage of the US presidential elections.
Commenting on the sales, Shlomo Nimrodi, viz[r]t President and CEO, said: “The most satisfying aspect from our point of view is that broadcasters are now looking to us to provide the complete and scalable range of broadcast graphics tools to create, manage and deliver their own individual look and feel to give them a competitive edge over their rivals.”
Key sales for the period so far, include a raft of sales in Europe, Asia Pacific, North America and Latin America, proving the universality of the new product range that was launched in September 2000, following the acquisition of Peak Broadcast by RT-SET and the launch of the renamed company as ‘viz[r]t’.
