Serious Stages launches new Luna range of PA Masts

Serious Stages has designed and fabricated a complete new range of PA Masts for use with their stages and structures, meeting the new Work at Height Regulations 2005.
The Luna PA mast is a specially designed new system configured in three heights 12m, 14.4m and 16.8m – to offer clients maximum flexibility.
In all three configurations, up to 4 tonnes of PA may be flown.
Part of the space between the two main base out-riggers is decked at low level which is useful for PA preparation and bass enclosure support.
Serious Stages’ design has included a unique head-board that works in conjunction with the heavily ballasted base to allow the mast to be easily scrimmed. With PA scrimming now de rigueur at any major festival or event, Serious’s new scrim system combines semi and non-permeable fabric, making the PA mast immediately more aesthetically attractive and providing a fabulous additional branding opportunity.
The Satellite PA mast is replacing Serious’ traditional ‘Dandelion’ PA masts.
It uses a heavy, one-piece 2.3m x 2.3m square base, nominally 0.3m high with an offset 10m ground support truss mast, optimizing stability for flown PAs weighing up to 1.5 tonnes.
The base has an additional fixed 1.5m x 2.3m platform in front of the mast for the preparation of PA equipment.
Satellite also features Serious’ new scrimming system as described above under the Luna PA Mast product.
With the Working at Height directive in minds, Serious Stages is endeavoring not to supply flown PA towers constructed from scaffolding.
They are instead introducing a new steel truss-based system, which minimises the need for people working at height.
The PA tower can be built in modular increments of approximately 2.4m, up to about 20m high and more, depending on clients’ specifications. This 'Goal Post' style PA tower can typically fly a total of 12 tonnes of equipment, and can also be used to support video screens and scenic scrims.
