SCOTTISH SCREEN LAUNCH OPENING SHOT 2001

SCOTTISH Screen have announced that Opening Shot 2001, a course for new drama screenwriters, will be held from May 25 to 27 2001 at The Ceilidh Place, Ullapool.
The course is open to new or established writers who are interested in learning to write for television or film. It will provide professional guidance and information to help writers develop their skills in this area, and learn about the Screen Industries.
The course is led by a team of industry professionals who have experience in screenwriting, script editing, producing and directing. The programme will include the screening, background and analysis of a short film, plus a one-to one tutorial for each participant, based on their submitted work. Delegates will be notified of the final course programme on acceptance.
Course entry is competitive, and there are only twelve places available.
For more information about the course or to receive an application form and guidelines contact: Paul Logue, Projects Officer, Scottish Screen tel: (0)141 302 1767. (GB)
