Foundation for Art and Creative Technology name new director

The Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT) have appointed a new Director to continue and develop the work of the organisation's founder and Chief Executive Eddie Berg, who will leave the organisation on Thursday March 3 to take up his new role as Artistic Director of the National Centre for the Moving Image, in London.
The Board of FACT, led by Chairman Professor Drummond Bone, announced that Gill Henderson has accepted the offer of the position of Director of FACT, and will take up the role in April.
Henderson’s career history includes five years as Chief Executive of the London Film and Video Development Agency, where she commissioned productions with UK Film Council, Carlton Television, Arts Council and Channel 4, and handled a broad portfolio of clients and grant schemes across exhibition, training and education. Prior to her move to London in 1998, Gill worked as Director of the Broadway Media Centre in Nottingham, a cinema arts centre renowned for its work with the East Midlands’ arts and film making community. She is also currently a non-executive director of Hi8us Projects Limited and LUX.
Professor Drummond Bone, speaking on behalf of the interview panel, confirmed that: "The Board of FACT and the Arts Council North West are very pleased to announce the appointment of Gill Henderson as the new Director of FACT. She brings all the skills and experience that FACT needs as it moves into its next stage of development as one of Liverpool's key cultural attractions, at the cutting edge of new media arts.”
