TSA monitor playout with Miranda's Kaleido-K2 multi-image display processors

Miranda Technologies have announced that Spain's Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA) has installed four Miranda Kaleido-K2 multi-image display processors for monitoring up to 100 SDI/PAL signals and audio channels.
TSA, a satellite TV content provider for networks serving Spanish-speaking markets, is responsible for controlling and monitoring signals for playout using the Miranda processors in conjunction with a custom video/audio alarm-logging system developed by CROSSPOiNT.
Manuel Perez of CROSSPOiNT said: "The Kaleido-K2 display processors provide exceptional picture quality with comprehensive video and audio parameter analysis for alarm signalling, and this will help TSA to maintain a very high quality output.
"The Kaleido-K2 systems provide the operators with excellent control and flexibility. These processors will replace CRT monitors and will also greatly increase space efficiency."
Two Kaleido-K2 dual-head multi-image display processors and two single-output units are in operation at the company's facility in Madrid, and they are used with six plasma screens.
A key characteristic of Miranda's Kaleido-K2 multi-image display processor is its ease of use and flexibility.
Operators at TSA's new playout facility can modify the monitor display at any given time according to the channels that require closer monitoring using a mouse for all the key functions, such as selecting a window for large scale viewing, instantly changing layouts, or selecting a source.
The 32-input Kaleido-K2 processor features a robust design and provides a high-quality, feature-rich display that can support multiple video formats, including HD-SDI, SDI, Composite, Y/C, RGB, PAL, analogue HD, and streaming video.
