Canopus showcase EDIUS HDV editing solutions at Video Forum 2005

Canopus unveiled their brand-new EDIUS-based HDV editing solutions powered by EDIUS Pro 3 software at Video Forum 2005.
Canopus also launched ProCoder Station, a networkable video transcoding solution designed to handle the high-volume needs of video professionals and media organisations.
“Canopus set the standard for real-time output in the early days of the DV editing revolution, and we've continued commitment in the HD world with our HD codec technologies,” said Mark Evans, President of Canopus Europe. “With our tightly integrated software and hardware solutions for HDV, we can provide the real-time editing and output functionality that is sorely lacking in software-only solutions.”
EDIUS Pro 3, already available with Canopus EDIUS HD, EDIUS SD and EDIUS NX/SP for HDV editing solutions, provides a seamless workflow with support for popular video acquisition formats and real-time, multi-track, mixed format HD/SD editing, compositing, chroma-keying, titling and timeline output capabilities. Designed for maximum performance, EDIUS Pro 3 delivers real-time output of multiple video tracks, effects, and graphics and title layers.
Canopus announced a special “cross-grade” promotional price of £299 (inc. VAT) on EDIUS Pro 3. This time-limited bonus pack offer includes a colour coded USB EDIUS keyboard, and ends May 31, 2005.
Canopus showed EDIUS NX for HDV that offers a tightly integrated software and hardware solution for real-time HD and SD editing, effects and compositing. With its seamless real-time workflow, EDIUS NX for HDV lets videographers mix HD and SD video footage in real-time and work with unlimited video, audio and effects layers, while providing real-time high-quality, full-resolution HD video output to an HD monitor for preview.
Canopus also highlighted EDIUS SP for HDV, which is hailed as the most advanced professional non-linear editing solution in its class. Boasting hardware editing acceleration and high-quality video input and output circuitry, EDIUS SP for HDV interfaces with professional and consumer video equipment, including HDV, DV and all consumer analogue formats, with optional native editing support available for DVCPRO 50 and DVCPRO HD.
Completing the line up of the latest developments was MediaEdge2 was on show. This low-cost multi-channel, multi-location video delivery solution uses standard TCP/IP networks and display devices. MediaEdge2 offers a cost-effective method of distributing video content, ranging from VideoCD-quality to DVD-quality or better, to multiple PC and set-top box clients.
