Autoscript Unveils Voice-Controlled Prompting Solution
Autoscript has announced Voice Controller for WinPlus-IP, a new voice-controlled prompting solution designed to allow presenters to control the movement of their scripts through speech.
The new system uses the speech recognition technology behind Autoscript's fully automated Voice solution and is integrated with the company's WinPlus-IP prompting software. It enables the prompt to respond to a presenter’s delivery without requiring dedicated hand or foot control hardware.
According to Autoscript, the approach gives presenters greater control over their pace while allowing them to focus on script delivery.
Voice Controller expands Autoscript's range of voice prompting solutions as broadcasters increasingly adopt automated production environments and look for more flexible operating workflows.
The system can operate wherever audio can be routed, which the company says makes it straightforward to integrate into existing production environments. By using the presenter’s delivery to control script movement, Voice Controller provides an alternative to conventional manual scroll-control hardware.
Autoscript will demonstrate the new solution at IBC2026 in Amsterdam, where visitors will be able to see the technology in action and take part in hands-on demonstrations at Booth 13.A05 throughout the exhibition.
Robin Brown, Prompting Specialist at Autoscript, said: "Voice Controller allows the presenter’s own delivery to control the movement of the script, giving them one less thing to think about while they’re on air. We have made that interaction feel as natural as possible, so presenters can concentrate on what they’re saying rather than how the prompt is being controlled.
"Our new voice prompting solution, together with our industry leading prompting hardware, demonstrates our continued commitment to delivering reliable, intelligent prompting technologies for our customers."
