Broadpeak Expands CDNaaS In Brazil With Seven HyperPoPs

Broadpeak, a specialist in streaming and monetisation at scale, has extended its Content Delivery Network as a Service (CDNaaS) by adding seven new HyperPoPs in Brazil. The rollout boosts the performance and capacity of Broadpeak's Adaptive Streaming CDN (ASCDN) across Latin America, helping broadcasters and streaming services sustain premium-quality experiences during peak-audience moments.

Accessible via the company's API platform, broadpeak.io, Broadpeak's CDNaaS offers a straightforward path to serve very large audiences without the cost and complexity of building and running a private CDN. Designed specifically for video, the service uses strategically placed HyperPoPs in partnership with local internet service providers to ensure optimal performance, reliability and scalability for high-demand events. Each HyperPoP delivers more than 1 Tbps of capacity — well above typical public CDN cache nodes — enabling platforms to absorb traffic spikes around premium live sport or blockbuster series launches while preserving quality of experience (QoE).

Powered by Broadpeak's EdgePeak software, the new HyperPoPs pair high-throughput delivery with real-time security to help combat live-streaming piracy and safeguard valuable content. Customers using ASCDN also gain integrated capabilities such as dynamic ad insertion, player analytics, multi-CDN strategies and multicast ABR, providing a comprehensive toolkit to support performance advertising and optimise efficiency as audiences scale. For the most demanding live events, operators can also tap Broadpeak's Network Operations Center (NOC) services for dedicated preparation and video expertise, including capacity planning, event supervision and post-event auditing.

The seven Brazilian HyperPoPs are being deployed by YouCast across selected ISP networks, expanding local edge distribution nationwide and cutting latency by placing content closer to viewers.

Built at national scale with regional diversity, the expansion helps Brazilian content providers and broadcasters protect QoE during challenging, high-audience events. By pushing delivery to the edge, the model improves conditions for high-value video while reducing global infrastructure duplication and energy needs — lowering both costs and carbon footprint for large-scale streaming.
