HaiVision expands US and European sales force

HaiVision Systems has appointed new sales personnel in the United States and Europe - and announced a strategic focus on US Federal markets.
These efforts will enable HaiVision to expand its product reach within the most demanding markets, including video conferencing, security and surveillance, C3I, telemedicine, and distance education worldwide.
Michael Mooney has been appointed Senior Director of Sales, Western United States. Mooney comes to HaiVision with a very successful track record at Hoffman Video Systems, Christie Digital, and Electrohome. In his new position Mooney is dedicated to building HaiVision's market through partnerships with audiovisual dealers, distributors, and systems integrators.
"Experience with both manufacturers (Electrohome/Christie) and the leading West Coast A/V integrator (Hoffman Video Systems) is a huge asset for HaiVision as we expand our core markets within the broadband video communications sector," said Francois Gariepy, President of HaiVision.
Also in the US, Steven Kane has been appointed to the newly created position of Director of Sales, US Federal Accounts. Kane has extensive knowledge and background in the video communication marketplace. "The hai500 and hai300 series are perfectly suited to the exacting demands of command and control, military, homeland security, and related mission critical applications," said Kane.
HaiVision is also expanding its European presence by appointing Laurent Walther to the role of Business Development Manager based in Paris, France. Walther has over 15 years experience in building European channels and strategic partnerships for video communication products. Previously, Walther led business development initiatives for ATEME, an MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and H.264 technology developer, and initiated European activities for Optibase, a supplier of video streaming technologies.
"Laurent's track record as an industry figure in the European market is well established and will assist HaiVision to grow rapidly in EMEA," said Peter Maag, Vice President of International Sales.
