Mediaproxy Appoints HVS

Mediaproxy, a developer of software-based IP compliance monitoring and multiviewing solutions, has appointed Heartland Video Systems (HVS) as its exclusive partner for US television broadcasting.

Under the agreement, the Wisconsin-based systems integrator will represent Mediaproxy’s full portfolio of technologies in the US broadcast sector, including its LogServer and Monwall platforms, and incorporate them into its installation and integration services.

HVS, founded in 1997 and headquartered in Plymouth, Wisconsin, has developed a regional presence across several US states, delivering equipment and integrated systems for major broadcasters, alongside work in the AV and streaming industries.

In recent years, the company has expanded its focus to include NextGen Television, completing more than 60 ATSC 3.0 installations. Alongside systems integration, HVS provides consultancy and engineering support services and partners with a range of broadcast technology suppliers. The company was acquired by Dan Whealy in July 2025 and continues to operate as a family-owned business.

Mediaproxy is widely used by broadcasters and playout facilities for compliance and logging, with its flagship LogServer platform supporting multiple broadcast and streaming standards, including ATSC 1.0 MPEG-2 HD and SD formats, as well as ATSC 3.0 NextGen TV in 4K and HDR.

The company's Monwall multiviewing system has also recently been expanded with the introduction of Monwall Server, enabling low-latency stream generation and mosaic creation for multi-screen monitoring applications.

Dan Whealy, president of HVS, said: "We are proud to enter into a strategic partnership with Mediaproxy and further the adoption of their innovative solutions throughout the United States television broadcast market. Having previously been a customer of Mediaproxy in my role as a broadcast executive, I have seen firsthand the operational value their technology delivers. As broadcasters navigate the increasing complexity of supporting both ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 services alongside streaming and multi-platform distribution, trusted monitoring and compliance tools are more important than ever. Mediaproxy's cutting edge solutions, combined with HVS's decades of broadcast integration experience and long-standing commitment to the industry, create a powerful offering that will help broadcasters manage the growing complexity of content monitoring, compliance, and distribution."
