DVEO and StreamVX Form Strategic Partnership for Unified Video Infrastructure
DVEO, a pioneer in video distribution technologies from Computer Modules, Inc., has announced a strategic partnership with software-defined video infrastructure provider StreamVX. Unveiled following the NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, the collaboration merges DVEO's established hardware platforms with StreamVX's modern software suite, providing broadcasters and OTT operators with a unified, complementary stack for live headend operations, FAST channel management, and specialized video deployments.
The announcement comes as Tier 2-4 broadcasters, IPTV operators, hospitality networks, and public-sector video buyers actively re-evaluate their headend architecture, pressed by aging appliances, end-of-support cycles for legacy live-encoding platforms, and rising demand for FAST channel and addressable advertising capability.
A complementary stack, not a competing one
DVEO and StreamVX address opposite sides of the same operator project. DVEO brings hardware: encoders, integrated receiver decoders, playout servers, ASI infrastructure, and 24/7 managed operations via Stream Republic by DVEO, with a long install base across North American broadcasters, hospitality networks, and government clients. StreamVX brings software: vxTranscoder for hardware-agnostic encoding, vxOTT Gateway for multi-codec OTT delivery (HLS, DASH, CMAF), vxDRM Gateway for multi-DRM (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady) from a single server, DAI Factory for dynamic ad insertion across TS, manifest, and FAST modes, vxQuality System for perceptual quality optimization, and vxStatMux for statistical multiplexing.
Together, the two companies cover the full path from signal acquisition to monetized stream, without forcing operators to manage multiple vendor integrations themselves.
Four joint use cases
The partnership targets four operator scenarios immediately:
• Turnkey on-prem OTT headends: DVEO hardware plus StreamVX software, packaged as a single project with one integration point and one support contact.
• FAST channel monetization: DVEO playout and FAST distribution rails paired with StreamVX DAI Factory for server-side ad insertion across TS streams, HLS/DASH manifests, and FAST channel manifests.
• Hospitality (hotel IPTV): DVEO's hospitality offering and installer network, extended with StreamVX multi-tenancy, low-CPU encoding, and mass-channel manifest manipulation.
• Government and public-sector video: DVEO's US compliance posture and installed base, combined with StreamVX air-gapped DRM and on-prem deployment for sovereignty-sensitive workloads.
The integration risk stops here
For operators, the cost of a multi-vendor headend isn't just financial, it's the time, the testing, and the accountability gap between what each vendor delivers and what actually works together. That's the problem this partnership is designed to eliminate.
"Operators in North America have been asking us for a complete software layer to pair with our hardware, one they don't have to source, integrate, and support on their own. StreamVX delivers exactly that", explains Wouter van Ruth, DVEO's Global Partnerships and Sales. "Together, we give operators a single project, a single support path, and a stack that covers everything from signal acquisition to monetized OTT delivery. That's what our customers have been waiting for."
StreamVX brings the same urgency to the operator side of the equation. For Tier 2-4 broadcasters and integrators, the gap between a procurement decision and a live channel has historically been measured in months, not because the technology isn't ready, but because the integration work is. "For years, operators have had to choose between a hardware vendor and a software vendor, and then carry the integration risk themselves. With DVEO, we put both layers on the table as one project, and that's the difference between a procurement cycle and being on air in weeks, not months," says Simon Karbowski, Co-founder & CEO, StreamVX.
The conversation doesn't stop at NAB
Joint solutions are available immediately. Operators and integrators across North America can request demos, pricing, and technical briefings through DVEO. If your head-end evaluation started at NAB 2026, this is where it moves forward.
