Telestream And Grass Valley Tie Live And File Workflows
Telestream has unveiled a strategic partnership with Grass Valley to strengthen interoperability between Telestream’s workflow automation, processing and monitoring tools and Grass Valley’s AMPP (Agile Media Processing Platform).
The move links Telestream Vantage for file-based orchestration, Pulse for end-to-end observability and Telestream UP for cloud-native media processing with AMPP’s software-defined production environment, enabling live, distributed and file-based operations across on‑premises, cloud and hybrid infrastructures without vendor lock-in. Telestream will be at NAB 2026 on booth W1503.
The initiative expands on existing integrations between Telestream Vantage, DIVA and Grass Valley systems, and now brings Telestream UP and Pulse into AMPP-centred workflows.
"Media workflows that were created 10 years ago are now becoming a constraint to forward progress," said Charlie Dunn, VP of Product, Telestream. "By working with Grass Valley, we're helping customers bridge live production and file-based processing within a unified, open architecture. This collaboration is about giving media organizations the power to streamline existing workflows and deploy them in the most cost-effective environments, with the flexibility to scale as the business grows."
Together, the companies aim to deliver robust interoperability by combining Grass Valley’s strengths in live production, content management and playout with Telestream’s expertise in workflow automation and observability.
Grass Valley's Framelight X is central to the approach, supporting the full content lifecycle—from capture and access through editing, collaboration and publishing—inside a browser-native, story-centric workspace. By bringing tasks into a single environment, Framelight X helps teams shape and deliver stories faster with fewer handoffs.
Built on AMPP's open, extensible foundation, Framelight X connects to best-in-class technologies covering storage, graphics, AI services, automation and distribution. Telestream’s automation, processing, captioning and quality control capabilities enrich this ecosystem so content can be automatically processed, QC’d and delivered at scale across multiple platforms.
The collaboration supports hybrid and cloud-native deployments. Telestream’s portfolio spans ingest, processing, QC, metadata and delivery, underpinning hybrid workflows that traverse diverse systems and locations. AMPP's flexible deployment options allow customers to optimise for performance, cost and operational needs.
This alignment enables workflows to scale dynamically while maintaining visibility, control and consistency across distributed environments.
Both companies advocate a hybrid‑first strategy, acknowledging that media organisations must operate across on‑premises, private and public cloud resources.
The announcement reflects an ongoing partnership, with further integrations and joint innovations planned across both vendors’ platforms.
Telestream will showcase its media workflow portfolio at NAB 2026 (booth W1503).
