NUGEN Audio Unveils Halo Vision V1.2 With New Precision Analysis Tools

NUGEN Audio has introduced Halo Vision v1.2, a notable upgrade to its customisable, real‑time analysis plug‑in for 3D, surround and immersive production.

Extending the suite's support for configurations up to 7.1.2, the release focuses on sharper measurement accuracy and clearer metering feedback, adding a frequency display with dB and peak‑point markers, live numerical readouts and a global freeze control.

"Halo Vision's modular environment already includes tools such as Correlation Matrix, Correlation Web, Spectrum, Frequency Haze, Location Haze and per‑channel True Peak metering, all of which help engineers identify issues that may not be immediately apparent by ear alone," said Freddy Vinehill-Cliffe, Product Specialist, NUGEN Audio. "With v1.2, we have expanded on this capability with targeted enhancements that streamline troubleshooting and speed up decision‑making in complex sessions."

The update now shows the precise decibel value and frequency of detected peaks directly on the spectrum, allowing mixers to quickly pinpoint resonances, spikes or feedback and act during mixing, mastering or immersive sound design.

Engineers also gain on‑cursor, real‑time data readouts anywhere on the frequency plot for inspecting anomalous peaks, checking notch‑filter behaviour or confirming filter cut‑offs with greater precision.

A new freeze function pauses all visual activity across Halo Vision’s modules, making it easier to scrutinise transient events, compare brief anomalies and capture fleeting issues that are otherwise hard to evaluate live.
