Nevion Enhances VideoIPath Control
Nevion has introduced a major upgrade to its VideoIPath media orchestration platform with the launch of a new Panel Builder tool, aimed at simplifying broadcast control and configuration workflows.
The new software allows broadcasters and media organisations to design, configure and manage hardware control panels directly within VideoIPath, eliminating the need for physical devices during setup. Users can create panel layouts through a visual interface, assigning functions such as endpoint switching, connect and disconnect commands, parameter settings and multi-page navigation using drag-and-drop tools.
Panel Builder also supports more advanced configurations, including stacked panels, enabling multiple hardware units to function as a single, unified interface. At launch, the tool is compatible with Sony MKS-R4020 and Elgato StreamDeck Studio devices, with additional support expected in future updates.
The company said the new functionality streamlines both deployment and day-to-day operations. Configurations can be created offline, replicated across multiple sites and quickly redeployed, while centralising control logic within VideoIPath allows for more advanced capabilities than traditional standalone hardware.
The release builds on the growing adoption of VideoIPath as a broadcast control system, as media organisations increasingly shift towards flexible, IP-based production environments.
In addition to Panel Builder, the latest VideoIPath update includes integrations with systems such as Riedel intercom, Arista MCS and Sony CNA-2 camera control, along with a new tag dictionary feature for structured endpoint labelling and broader system enhancements.
Nevion will showcase VideoIPath at the NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, taking place from April 18–22.
