Utah Scientific Expands Technology Partner Program
Utah Scientific has expanded its Technology Partner Program with the addition of Audinate, Bitfocus, and Skaarhoj, three companies whose technologies support hybrid SDI and IP broadcast workflows.
The integrations are designed to enhance interoperability across broadcast, production, and AV environments, allowing organizations to adopt newer IP-based technologies while maintaining existing SDI infrastructure and workflows.
"We are always looking for ways to help customers build hybrid systems that blend the best of SDI and IP," said Brett Benson, CEO of Utah Scientific. "By integrating with innovative solutions from Audinate, Bitfocus, and Skaarhoj, we’re giving users more freedom in how they move audio and video, automate device control, and interact with our routing infrastructure. At the heart of every system are Utah Scientific products backed by our legendary 10–year warranty — and these new integrations make it even easier for organisations to streamline operations, reduce system complexity, and adapt their workflows as production demands evolve."
Through its partnership with Audinate, Utah Scientific is introducing native Dante audio I/O capabilities within its routers. The integration removes the need for external MADI–to–Dante conversion, enabling engineers to route IP-based audio more efficiently and align with the Dante-enabled mixers and consoles widely used in broadcast and AV installations.
"We are excited to welcome Utah Scientific into the Dante ecosystem. By integrating Dante's AoIP technology into their hybrid SDI and IP workflows, broadcasters can now have a solid 'best–of–both–worlds' solution," said Joshua Rush, chief marketing officer of Audinate.
The addition of Bitfocus introduces compatibility with the company’s Buttons facility-wide control platform. As part of the Bitfocus Connections Program, Utah Scientific routers can now be automated and switched alongside other devices across hybrid production environments without the need for custom engineering or proprietary integrations.
Meanwhile, the partnership with Skaarhoj expands control surface options for Utah Scientific users. The integration enables the Skaarhoj AirFly Pro controller to serve as a compact desktop control solution, offering operators an additional cost-effective interface for managing routing operations.
Skaarhoj CEO and founder Kasper Skårhøj said the collaboration delivers a native user experience. “We are proud to partner with Utah Scientific on their switching control platform. Their highly skilled engineering team has delivered a seamless integration with our flagship controller, Air Fly Pro, creating a truly native and intuitive control experience for users. This collaboration further strengthens our expanding partner ecosystem, and we are honored that Utah Scientific has selected our controller to power their application.”
Utah Scientific said the new partnerships complement its broader ecosystem of technology providers that support hybrid SDI, IP, and fiber-based workflows. Existing partners include Apantac, known for multiviewer monitoring systems; Arista Networks, whose switching platforms are widely used in large-scale SMPTE ST 2110 deployments; Embrionix, which develops IP processing and JPEG XS conversion technologies; and Norwia, a supplier of fiber transport solutions.
NETGEAR also supports the company’s IP infrastructure deployments with its M4350 switch family, designed for ST 2110 environments. The switches provide high bandwidth capacity, redundant power options, and timing features such as grandmaster and boundary-clock support, while NETGEAR’s Engage Controller software offers AV-focused configuration tools.
