TVU Networks And Vizrt Integrate Cloud Solutions

TVU Networks, a global leader in cloud and IP-based live video solutions, and Vizrt, a specialist in live production tools, have announced the integration of TVU MediaMesh with TriCaster Vectar to enable seamless, sub-second latency cloud-based live productions.

The combined platform is designed for broadcasters, live event producers, and sports organizations looking to modernize workflows with cloud, hybrid, or on-premises architectures.

Modern productions often span remote crews, cloud control rooms, and traditional studios, but delivering high-quality, low-latency video across these distributed setups has been a persistent challenge. Traditional solutions can introduce delays of up to two seconds due to complex infrastructure requirements, restrictive protocol choices, or latency-inducing transcoding. The new integration overcomes these barriers using TVU MediaMesh’s containerized edge-management services, connecting field cameras, cloud switching, and production control with sub-700 ms end-to-end latency. This allows producers to direct live shows from anywhere with the same responsiveness as on-site production.

TVU MediaMesh provides a cloud-first, modular infrastructure that combines asynchronous microservices with a remote shared memory fabric. TriCaster Vectar delivers software-based 4K and HDR live production switching accessible from anywhere, and can be deployed automatically via Viz Now. Viz Now provides remote teams with full access to live production tools, including switching, graphics, audio mixing, and intercom, seamlessly integrating ground and cloud through NDI®.

The integration allows production teams to maintain sub-second visual confirmation, critical for fast-paced director-to-camera coordination in sports, news, and entertainment. Deployments can run fully in the cloud, on-premises, or as hybrid systems, giving teams increased flexibility and reducing infrastructure costs while accelerating deployment timelines.

"By integrating Vizrt’s TriCaster Vectar and TVU MediaMesh, we're giving sports, news, and live event production teams the ability to work with sub-second responsiveness across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments," said John Wastcoat, Senior Director, Business Development at TVU Networks. "It solves long-standing workflow barriers and improves latency by 50%, enabling broadcasters and live producers to modernize their live cloud production without sacrificing quality or control."

Jon Raidel, Global CoE Lead, Cloud & Live Production at Vizrt, added: "With TriCaster Vectar being used across any type of live production, we want every integration to provide extra relief for the team, so they can prioritize creativity in each step of the production process, knowing we have their backs. Using these solutions together with MediaMesh, productions maintain the lowest latency and the highest quality output, from anywhere in the world."
