WILLIAMS TO JOIN CARLTON COMMUNICATIONS
CARLTON Communications have announced that Tony Williams is joining the company as their first dedicated Group Human Resources Director.
Williams, aged 43, is currently on the Board of IPC Media as Group Human Resources and Services Director. He previously worked as a Director at global executive search consultants Russell Reynolds Associates, and in board level human resources director roles with WH Smith Retail, News International Newspapers and a number of businesses within GEC-Marconi.
He joins Carlton on August 13 and will lead the group's overall human resources and employment strategy, reporting to Gerry Murphy, Group Chief Executive Officer.
Williams said: "Carlton is a dynamic company in a fast-changing industry. The business issues are challenging and complex and success usually depends on getting the people things right and creating the conditions for creativity to thrive. It's an exciting time to be joining the team." (CD)
