StillMoving has appointed Joseph Turp as its Head of Film.

The appointment signals the next stage of growth for the company, which enjoyed a record year in 2023. As well as working with some of the world's most iconic brands, StillMoving has established itself as a key part of the South West business community, with plans for its Bishop's Cleeve studio to become a regional hub for film, photography, and equipment hire.

Joseph will be pivotal in helping the company achieve its ambitious growth plans. His role will see him leading the strategy and creative direction of film for StillMoving and building its network of specialist directors and crew to accelerate the business’s expansion. He brings 17 years of filmmaking experience with him to the role, having worked with global brands and cultural institutions, including HBO, L’Oréal, The National Lottery, and Tate Britain.

Spencer McPherson, Chief Creative Officer at StillMoving, commented: "We're delighted to be welcoming Joe to the team and know his incredible talent for directing, producing, shooting, and editing will be invaluable in expanding and honing our filmmaking services. His appointment demonstrates the significant investment we’re making into StillMoving’s growth as we work towards our goal of becoming the region’s leading film and photography production company. We are on target for one of our strongest years to date, and we’re so excited to see what the future holds."

Joseph added: "StillMoving is one of the most forward-thinking commercial production companies in the South West, and it's brilliant to be joining the team at such a key moment in its growth. Every filmmaker wants the opportunity to work for a company that has the profile, specialisms, and passion that StillMoving offers, and I'm delighted to join a company that shares my dedication to creative excellence throughout the entire filmmaking process."

Joseph will join StillMoving's 13 strong in-house team of experts and extensive network of specialist partners. Alongside its impressive roster of global clients, the company also works with some of Gloucestershire’s most respected organisations and destinations, including Cheltenham Festivals, Gloucester Quays, Spirax Sarco and Superdry.
