Boris FX products now available on Avid Webstore

Avid Technology Europe has announced a collaboration with Boris FX, the leading developer of integrated graphics and effects technology, to make selected Boris products available for purchase on Avid’s Webstore at www.avidstore.com, which serves Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
“Our aim for the Avid Webstore is to provide an additional service to our customers, and this new collaboration with Boris FX allows us to make high quality complementary products, as well as our own solutions, available to a wide audience in a convenient and cost-effective way,” said Graham Sharp, VP European Sales & Operations at Avid.
The Boris products available on the Webstore, which are all specific to Avid’s editing and finishing systems, will be shipped from Avid’s warehousing facilities, based in Dublin, Ireland, to the EMEA regions. Boris products will continue to be available through its worldwide reseller channel and direct from Boris FX.
“Selling Boris products through the Avid Webstore continues our efforts to provide Avid customers with the latest in Boris technology specific to their needs,” said Sue Imhoff, Director of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Boris FX.
This e-commerce relationship is the latest joint initiative by the two companies, which have a long collaborative history. Avid has bundled Boris products with its editing software for several years; and at this year’s NAB, Avid launched the Avid Xpress Studio, the industry’s first all-in-one content creation suite for DV professionals, which includes the titling and effects module Avid FX – based on Boris Red, the industry-leading integrated effects package.
