Sky Secures Broadcast Rights To Show Record Number Of Premier League Fixtures

Sky has secured the broadcast rights to show a record number of Premier League fixtures in a new four-year deal.
With up to 100 more matches each season, its exclusively live coverage will increase by 70% from 2025/26.
With four packages awarded, the maximum for any one broadcaster, over 80% of live broadcast Premier League matches will be on Sky Sports, and customers can expect at least four live games every week.
The unrivalled line-up of Premier League football on Sky Sports will include:
• At least 215 live games each season
• All first pick matches, giving fans the best matches week in week out until May 2029
• Super Sunday remains the flagship kick-off slot at 4.30pm
• First and last word on a Premier League weekend with more live games on Fridays and Mondays.
• For the first time, all the final games on the last day of the season will be live in one place, creating a real moment for fans
• In another first, Sky Sports will now be able to offer multiple live matches on a number of weekends at Sunday 2pm.

Dana Strong, Group CEO, Sky said: "This is a fantastic result for Sky customers, who will see a significant increase in the number of matches from the most iconic league in the world. We are proud of our long history with the Premier League and look forward to delivering more engagement, entertainment, and innovation to the end of the decade.
"Sky is the undisputed home for sport fans in the UK. Our customers have more of the sports they love and more long-term certainty than ever before, with an unrivalled volume of domestic football, alongside Formula 1, cricket, golf, rugby league, tennis and much more."
More people than ever are watching Sky Sports, with 2023 on track to be the strongest year of viewing yet across all platforms. The Premier League, men’s and women’s Ashes, Ryder Cup, Solheim Cup, English Football League, and Women’s Super League have all broken viewing records driven primarily by the growth of younger audiences and more female viewers.
On Sky Sports and available to non-Sky subscribers via a NOW Sports Monthly membership, the Premier League sits alongside more top-quality sport than anywhere else, including:
• Formula 1 – every practice, qualifying and race until the end of 2029
• English Football League – coverage increasing to over 1,000 matches each season from 2024/25 in a groundbreaking five-year partnership
• English cricket - ECB rights to the end of 2028 with home men’s and women’s international cricket including the next home Ashes series, The Hundred, Vitality Blast, County Championship
• International cricket – all men’s and women’s ICC world events through to the end of 2031
• Scottish Professional Football League – increase in SPFL matches through to 2029
• Women's football – 35 Women’s Super League fixtures plus matches from the Scottish Women's Premier League
• Golf - all four men’s Majors, all five women’s Majors, The Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup and both men’s and women’s Tours across multi-year terms
• Tennis – year-round tennis from both the ATP and WTA Tours for the next five years, plus the US Open until 2028
• Rugby League - every Betfred Super League match live for the first time from 2024 – 2026, including all three Grand Finals – Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair
• Plus international rugby union including 2025 British & Irish Lions Tour of Australia, NFL including the Super Bowl, year-round boxing, darts including the PDC World Darts Championship and more.
