Zygi Kamasa To Launch True Brit Entertainment

Veteran British film executive Zygi Kamasa is to launch new UK theatrical distributor True Brit Entertainment dedicated exclusively to British films with major funding from entertainment group Three Six Zero.

Kamasa pledges to co-finance over $150million of UK independent British productions in the first 3 years.

Leading British Film executive Zygi Kamasa has announced that he is launching a new UK Theatrical Distributor True Brit Entertainment Ltd, which will focus exclusively on British feature films and television.

Funding for the new venture will come from powerhouse talent management and entertainment company Three Six Zero. Three Six Zero, is at the forefront of the music, film, television, sport and digital content landscape, and represents a broad collective of global talent, including Calvin Harris, WILLOW, Majid Jordan, Jaden Smith and more.

Kamasa, who has been distributing films in the UK for over 25 years, is regarded by many in the UK as one of the leading supporters of British films, having Executive Produced over 40 British titles including Bend it like Beckham, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, Brooklyn, Eddie the Eagle and The Father.

Kamasa commented: "I have released over 300 films in the UK in my career, 75 of which or more have been British films and those are the films I have enjoyed the most. The British independent market has always delivered incredible stories from unique voices, and I think there is a huge opportunity for True Brit Entertainment to back many original projects and filmmakers, and I am incredibly excited by the potential."
