Network Electronics open office on mainland China

Network Electronics ASA celebrated the Chinese New Year by opening its first office on mainland China.
The office is located in Jiaxing, just outside of Shanhai, in the Zhejiang province.
Network Electronics’ new office is the first phase in plans to increase the company’s presence in China’s rapidly evolving digital broadcast market as well as the country’s telecom and multimedia markets. Television stations in 14 Chinese provinces have already installed products from all three Network ranges: VikinX compact routers, ConQuer signal processing products, and flashlink fibre optic transport platform.
The new office will also serve as a base for marketing and sales activities, stock a comprehensive inventory, and provide additional technical support to Network Electronics’ Chinese customers and distributors.
Sten Frizell and Miss Ning Chen are charged with the responsibility of operating the office together with Roger Tam from the Network Hong Kong office. The team will arrange seminars and training courses and has joined the CCBN and BIR TV exhibitions in Beijing. They have already facilitated two road shows in China and received an important contract with the Heilongjiang TV station in Harbin.
Jiaxing’s status as a friendship city with Sandefjord, Norway, Network Electronics’ home city, contributed to the extraordinary support received from the Jiaxing office of Foreign affairs and the Jiaxing Economic Development zone during the registration and establishment of Network’s new office.
Located one hour from Shanghai, the office is easily accessible by four major airports.
