The Future Group Appoints Industry Veterans To Its Senior Team

News Image
The Future Group has announced the addition of two industry veterans to the senior team as it moves its global growth strategy forward.

Tom Shelburne takes the role of Director of Sales and Business Development for North America and David Stroud steps in as Senior Product and Operations Specialist.

Tom Shelburne's considerable industry experience spans across sales, business development, TV station general management, technical direction and operations for companies including Sunday Night Football, TVN Entertainment, Vizrt, and most recently, start-up TV station, WSCG-TV34. As the newly incumbent Director of Sales, Tom will look to expand The Future Group’s growing Pixotope user base, whilst developing a network of dealers and partners across North America. He will also draw upon his extensive broadcast experience to drive the development and integration of Pixotope into news, sports, and entertainment workflows across the US and Canada.

David Stroud joins The Future Group with an extensive amount of experience built up over years working as a product specialist on advanced AR and broadcast technology, and bringing those solutions to market. His experience was honed in engineering, product development and technical marketing at Avid, FilmLight, Antics Technologies and most recently, Ncam, where he held the role of senior product specialist. In his new role, David will work with the engineering and creative departments to help bring Pixotope to a wider audience, leveraging his vast experience and contacts. He also aims to develop new products in partnership with his team, that are accessible and easy for anyone working in live and feature production to use.

Halvor Vislie, CEO, The Future Group, said: "Pixotope builds on our successes over the past several years where we have earned a position as a leader on augmented reality and virtual production technology. Our ability to attract industry veterans like Tom and David is not only a testament to the transformative nature of our market offering, but also a key element in our efforts to remain at the innovative forefront of our industry."
