GLASGOW BASED VIDEO SCHEME NOMINATED FOR AWARD
THE video to accompany 'Diabla' by Soma Records outfit Funk D'Void has been nominated for the Best Video award at the German Dance Music Awards in December.
The video was produced by Simon Ellis of production house Bub and is subtitled 'Bass Invaders'. The video previously featured in the Best of the Fest selection at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
The film is one of first to be made under the umbrella of the 4 Minute Wonders net-based production scheme that offers £5,000 to production teams who pitch their ideas for tracks made available via the internet. The tracks have all been culled from the Soma Records roster.
Soma Records have also been nominated in the Critics Choice section for the outstanding track 'Lifetimes' by veteran house duo Slam and also in the Best International Label category.
The awards take place in Hamburg on December 12.
