Philips add superior Media Player functionality to Obigo mobile software

Royal Philips Electronics and Swedish company Teleca have announced that Philips' Media Player advanced multimedia software solution will be integrated with Obigo, Teleca's industry-leading application software suite for mobile phone manufacturers.
By integrating Philips' Media Player with Obigo, Teleca will be able to provide handset manufacturers with a state-of-the-art mobile video player that minimises the system integration efforts and reduces time-to-market. The solution will allow service providers and network operators to offer their subscribers additional applications such as playback of downloaded or streamed video clips, video messaging and more.
In addition, the mobile media player significantly improves the user's experience by providing video streaming and playback capabilities embedded in multimedia messaging (MMS) client and the browser.
