Avid reveal Xpress DV Version 3 at VideoForum
Avid Technology have presented the first European showing of Avid Xpress DV version 3, the complete content creation and delivery system for desktop or notebook, at VideoForum in London.
A major release, the Avid Xpress DV version 3 system’s new features include real-time effects, a greatly enhanced user interface and improved interoperability. It also heralds the introduction of the much-anticipated Macintosh version, which will be shown on the Avid stand. The main stage demonstration will show the ease with which files can be transferred between Avid Xpress and Avid Xpress DV systems.
In addition, Avid are running three free workshops during the show. The workshops cover basic Avid editing skills; advanced compositing and effects work; and how to get the most from using third party plug-ins, such as Boris FX and Knoll Light Factory, with Avid systems.
Finally the Avid|DS HD system will be on show in the Broadcast Pavilion, demonstrating its capabilities for real-time conforming and finishing of projects at multiple non-compressed HDTV and SDTV formats.
