Vizrt Appoints New CEO

Vizrt has announced the appointment of Michael Hallen as CEO.

Effective from 1 August, 2016, Mr Hallen will be based at the company's global headquarters in Bergen, Norway.

With 25 years of experience in the global software business, Hallen joins Vizrt from Qmatic Group, a Swedish software and hardware company, where he was CEO. Prior positions to this include CEO at Boss Media, and CEO at IFS. He has also held a number of non-executive directorships in various tech companies and currently holds two board positions, Fingerprint Cards and Paxport.

Hallen replaces former Vizrt CEO, Martin Burkhalter, who recently retired after heading the company for six years. Dr. François Laborie, COO, will remain as acting CEO until 1 August.
