Macromedia announce MAX 2003 conference

Macromedia has announced the debut of its MAX Conference, which combines the best of the company's popular DevCon and UCON events.
The event will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, from November 18-21. The conference will help developers and designers sharpen their skills, learn about new Macromedia products including the MX 2004 product line and network with their industry peers. Attendees who register by September 26 will save USD200 off the registration fee of USD1095.
Macromedia also announced the new MAX Awards, which will showcase and recognise the most innovative digital experiences built with Macromedia technology. A diverse panel of Macromedia employees and user community celebrities will judge entries based on design and development and the return on investment that projects brought to the entrant's organisation. Categories include: Advertising; Business; Branding; Customer-Facing Applications; e-Learning; Education; Government and Non-Profit and Media, Entertainment and Gaming. Submissions are due by September 26.
"We look forward to welcoming the most talented and imaginative users of Macromedia technology to the conference and the MAX Awards," said Al Ramadan, executive vice president, Macromedia. "Our customers have always embraced the challenge of taking the digital experience to the next level and we can't wait to see what they will do with our new MX 2004 products as well as all our other tools and server offerings."
MAX will feature 89 intensive workshop and hands-on sessions divided into four tracks, as well as technical support labs, a cyber café and several special events. Expert presenters for the workshop sessions include Angela Buraglia, co-author of Dreamweaver MX Killer Tips; Ben Forta, senior product evangelist at Macromedia and Simon Horwith, chief technology officer of eTRILOGY.
